Prince William and Kate Middleton's kind reaction to blunder as royal fan breaks major protocol
Prince William and Kate Middleton's kind reaction to a royal fan mistakenly breaking a major royal protocol has been revealed
Prince William and Kate Middleton's kind reaction to a fan breaking a major protocol has been revealed as the royal couple is labeled as 'lovely.'
- Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge were recently on a royal tour around Wales.
- While meeting people at a variety of royal engagements, the royal couple encountered a fan who broke a major protocol.
- In other royal news, the sad reason Harry and Meghan could return to the Royal Family revealed.
During a recent royal engagement in Wales, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited local businesses at Abergavenny market.
The couple visited Nicky Hurst's cheese stand where they spoke to Ms. Hurst who accidentally broke a major royal protocol while chatting to the royals.
"They are lovely," Ms. Hurst told the Express, "I wasn't sure what they'd be like and what to call them in terms of their titles. I called them 'Kate' and 'Will,' and they were really relaxed."
When addressing Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, royal protocols dictate that they are referred to as 'Your Royal Highness' and then called 'Sir' or 'Ma'am' for the rest of the conversation. Only the Queen has a slightly different protocol and she must be called 'Your Majesty' and then 'Ma'am' from that point onwards.
Despite breaking the royal protocol it is clear that Prince William and Catherine were not too bothered about the rules and were quite happy to be called by their first names.
Kate Middleton and Prince William are known as some of the most down-to-earth royals and have been known to bend a few royal rules in the past.

Kate Middleton broke royal protocol when she joined England rugby players for a training session in Twickenham and allowed the players to touch her royal behind so that they could lift her in the air and she could retrieve the ball.
Duchess Kate also broke royal protocols by sending a sweet message to a fan. The Duchess does not typically use her social media to reach out to fans and royal protocols dictate that members of the royal family do not use their social platforms to do so. But Catherine decided to reach out to a young fan that she had met personally to thank her for sending a lovely video message for her birthday.
Although there are plenty of royal protocol rules the royal family has to follow, there are many that are made to be broken. It's clear that when it comes to following the less modern protocols, the royal couple is happy to bend a few rules.
