Ever wondered why Meghan Markle wears three rings on her wedding finger? The reason is so sweet
Have you ever spotted that Meghan Markle wears three rings on her wedding finger for certain occasions? It turns out that there's a seriously special reason why.
- The reason Meghan Markle wears three rings on her wedding hand is super sweet.
- The Duchess of Sussex stacks her wedding band, her engagement ring and another sentimental piece of jewelry on her ring finger.
- In other royal news, Kate Middleton's engagement ring stunned royal fans in a rare close-up video.
When Meghan and Prince Harry tied the knot back in 2018, she was given a specially made gold band to accompany her engagement ring, which was designed by her husband especially for her.
The customized engagement ring features a stone from Botswana, which sits between two diamonds that belonged to Prince Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, and came from her priceless collection of jewels.
The gorgeous ring is said to be designed to be a timeless and classic piece, while also to symbolizing a part of Harry’s past with its nod to Diana.
Since Harry and Meghan exchanged their vows at St George's Chapel nearby to Windsor Castle back in 2018, the Duchess has been photographed sporting a third ring beside the precious wedding and engagement rings.
She was first spotted with the new piece of jewelry after the birth of her and Prince Harry’s first son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, who marked his third birthday this year.
The appearance of the ring also came after the Duke and Duchess’ first wedding anniversary.

Harper's Bazaar has reported that the Duke gave the gift to his wife to celebrate one year of marriage and also their growing family, which has now grown even further with the birth of Lilibet Diana in June 2021.
Prince Harry reportedly worked with jeweller Lorraine Schwartz to incorporate his, Meghan's and Archie’s birthstone into the band, which the Duchess occasionally wears stacked with her two other sentimental rings.
A source explained that the ring features a green emerald for Archie, a blue sapphire for Prince Harry, and a green peridot stone for Duchess Meghan.
Meghan has not been spotted wearing her third ring during recent appearances, having been photographed with just her wedding band and engagement ring on when she's stepped out most recently.
It's likely that Harry and Meghan will have sent the ring off to have baby Lilibet's birthstone added to the band, so that the family of four can all be represented on the gorgeous ring.
