Who are the late Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren and how many are there?
Several of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren attended King Charles' coronation but there are plenty more who are more rarely seen
The late Queen Elizabeth’s great-grandchildren have been glimpsed more often at huge royal events in recent years, though some of them are more well-known than others.
Fans will no doubt already be pretty knowledgeable about the late Queen Elizabeth’s children and even the Queen’s grandchildren. But Britain’s longest-reigning monarch was also a devoted great-grandmother to many young royals and though several of them might feature lower down in the royal line of succession, fans are always delighted to see him at major family events. The last few years alone have seen five more great-grandchildren welcomed into the Royal Family, with a couple of them being glimpsed in sweet snaps and at public occasions.
Here we reveal how many great-grandchildren the monarch has and who all of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren are...
How many great-grandchildren does the late Queen Elizabeth have?
The late Queen Elizabeth has 13 great-grandchildren although very sadly she never got to meet the latest royal arrival, Ernest Brooksbank, who was welcomed by Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank eight months after she passed away. In 2021, however, four great-grandchildren were born within months of each other.
None of these young royals were born with titles, however Prince Harry's children are now styled as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. This is because when King Charles ascended the throne they became entitled to them as the grandchildren of the monarch. Other than the Sussexes, only three more of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren are referred to as "Prince" or "Princess".

These are the Prince and Princess of Wales' children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. As the children of working royals and with Prince George set to be King one day they were the only great-grandchildren who attended King Charles and Queen Camilla's coronation ceremony. Out of those three only Prince George received an official role as he was a Page of Honor to King Charles.
Who are Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren?
Savannah Phillips
Age: 12
Birthday: December 29, 2010
Parents: Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly
Although she is the eldest of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren, Savannah Phillips does not have a royal title though she's 20th in line to the throne. Savannah caught royal fans' attention during the 2018 Trooping the Colour, where she played with Princess Charlotte and Prince George and even reportedly told the future King to stop singing during the National Anthem.

She went on to serve as a bridesmaid at the wedding of her father's cousin Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank in October that year. In 2022, Savannah joined Peter Phillips at the Service of Thanksgiving held in honor of the late Prince Philip, where her late great-grandmother also made a special appearance.
Isla Phillips
Age: 11
Birthday: March 29, 2012
Parents: Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly
Like her older sister, Isla does not have a royal title, but like many of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren she has the middle name, Elizabeth, as a nod to her "Gan-Gan". Isla is now 21st in line to the throne and also attended Prince Philip's memorial alongside Savannah and Peter Phillips in March 2022. Over the years Isla has frequently been pictured at the Queen's official birthday parade, Trooping the Color.
Prince George of Wales
Age: 9
Birthday: July 22, 2013
Parents: Prince William, Prince of Wales and Princess Catherine, Princess of Wales
Two years after Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding, the long-term couple welcomed their first child, Prince George. The young royal is not only one of the oldest of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren, but also set to be the future King following his father Prince William and grandfather King Charles. It's said that Prince George was told about his huge destiny by Prince William and Kate Middleton in a "controlled" way several years ago.
In recent years Prince George has appeared more frequently at public events, perhaps preparing for his future. During King Charles and Queen Camilla's coronation service he had the special official role as a Page of Honor and appeared alongside them and his parents and siblings on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
Mia Tindall
Age: 9
Birthday: January 7, 2014
Parents: Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall
According to reports, Mike and Zara Tindall took a heartfelt route when choosing their first child's name as Mia is "mine" in Italian and "beloved" in Egyptian. The eldest of the Tindalls three children, Mia is relatively close in age to Prince George and just like him, Princess Charlotte and Savannah and Isla Phillips, she accompanied her parents to the memorial for Prince Philip last year. Mia Tindall wore a Royal Family hand-me-down to the service in the form of a beautiful coat that her cousin Savannah was previously pictured wearing, perhaps showcasing the close bond between Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren.
Princess Charlotte of Wales
Age: 8
Birthday: May 2, 2015
Parents: Prince William, Prince of Wales and Princess Catherine, Princess of Wales
Often said to display a rather cheeky side to her, Princess Charlotte is Prince William and Princess Catherine's second child and has often displayed her growing confidence over the years. It's been suggested that she was Queen Elizabeth's favorite great-grandchild and fans have even expressed their belief that Princess Charlotte resembles the Queen after she attended the royals' Easter Sunday service in April. Just like her siblings, Princess Charlotte featured prominently over the coronation weekend, much to the delight of fans.
Prince Louis of Wales
Age: 5
Birthday: April 23, 2018
Parents: Prince William, Prince of Wales and Princess Catherine, Princess of Wales
The Prince and Princess of Wales welcomed Prince Louis in 2018, just a month before his uncle and aunt Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. As a result it came as no surprise that the little royal didn't attend the ceremony, though as he's grown older Prince Louis has been spotted more frequently alongside his siblings.

From making his Trooping the Color balcony debut to the Wales' annual Christmas card photo, any glimpses of Prince Louis are met with delight from fans. He was seen frequently over the coronation weekend and whilst the matter of why Prince Louis disappeared might've intrigued some, others might've been overwhelmed by a sweet photo of Prince Louis and Princess Charlotte.
Lena Tindall
Age: 4
Birthday: June 18, 2018
Parents: Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall
Lena, whose name means "light" in Greek, is one of the lesser-known of Queen Elizabeth's great-grandchildren. Just like Princess Charlotte and Savannah Phillips, Lena has the middle name Elizabeth in honor of Her Majesty. She and her siblings aren't often seen in public compared to the Wales children and haven't been officially pictured on the Buckingham Palace balcony yet. She joined her parents at the traditional Easter Sunday service at Windsor Castle in 2023.
Prince Archie of Sussex
Age: 4
Birthday: May 6, 2019
Parents: Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex
Prince Archie is the firstborn child of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Since his birth Prince Harry and Meghan "stepped back" from royal life and settled in their Santa Barbara mansion, where they've released only few exciting snaps of the now-four-year-old. Last year, Archie returned to the UK for the first time since the family moved Stateside to attend the Jubilee celebrations for his great-grandmother.
August Brooksbank
Age: 2
Birthday: February 9, 2021
Parents: Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank
Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their first son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank in February 2021 and was the first of Queen Elizabeth's four great-grandchildren born that year. It's understood that his middle name Philip was chosen in tribute to his great-grandfather who sadly passed away just a few months after his birth. Although Princess Eugenie has shared several sweet pictures of him on her personal Instagram, her latest snap came as she posted a snap of August alongside his newborn baby brother Ernest.
Lucas Tindall
Age: 2
Birthday: March 21, 2021
Parents: Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall
Lucas Tindall is understood to have been born in rather surprising circumstances at the Tindalls' home at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire. Shortly after their son's arrival was announced Mike Tindall revealed Zara gave birth on the bathroom floor after labour was unexpectedly quick. No official photos have been released of Lucas by Zara and Mike and he didn't join his oldest sister at Prince Philip's memorial last year. However, Lucas did appear in a photo in Prince William and Princess Catherine's tribute to Queen Elizabeth on what would've been her 97th birthday.

Parents: Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex
Princess Lilibet is eighth in the royal line of succession and, of course, her name is a tribute to both the Queen and Princess Diana. So far only two adorable images have been shared of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's daughter, posted when she was just six months old to celebrate Christmas 2021 and taken by Alexi Lubomirski and another taken by Misan Harriman to mark her 1st birthday. It's understood that Queen Elizabeth met Princess Lilibet during the Sussex family's trip to the UK last year for the Platinum Jubilee weekend.
