Earlier this week, it was announced that the continuing Queen's health struggles have forced Her Majesty to cancel yet another royal duty as she's advised not to leave Balmoral.
After being advised against traveling home to Windsor Castle or Buckingham Palace to officially appoint Britain’s pending new Prime Minister, the Queen will receive them at Balmoral.
This change to protocol has led to fresh concerns over the Queen’s health, and new reports of Prince Charles’ frequent visits have only given more cause for concern.
The Queen has been suffering from mobility issues for almost a year now and the traditional welcoming party on her arrival at the Scottish estate was moved behind closed doors.
Furthermore, Her Majesty has not been pictured in public since getting off her plane at Aberdeen Airport back in July.
However, Buckingham Palace did reassure fans that there wasn’t much to worry about, suggesting the change was “in line with adapting Her Majesty's schedule for her comfort.”
While Charles and the Queen have always had a close relationship, they don’t usually see one another as frequently as has recently been reported.
On these new regular visits to Balmoral, Ingrid Seward of Majesty Magazine, has commented, “It’s highly unusual for Prince Charles to make these kinds of impromptu visits to see his mother.”
“But Charles is a very thoughtful person, and who else can she rely on now Prince Philip has gone? Everyone thinks they normally see each other all the time, but they don’t.”
“They often blame it on the geography because everyone is scattered all around the country.”
