Strictly Come Dancing reveals new professional dancer
Strictly Come Dancing has revealed their new professional dancer.
The hit BBC show took to their Instagram account to unveil the exciting news, sharing a snap of the new recruit and a sweet caption to welcome her to the ranks.
Uploading a picture of professional dancer Nancy Xu, Strictly confirmed the news, writing: ‘We’ve got a new #Strictly pro-dancer! Meet Nancy Xu @nancy_xuxi 💃🏻’.
They also sent along birthday wishes to the dancing pro, as the announcement was made on the same day as her birthday.
They added: ‘Happy Birthday Nancy and welcome to the show!’
Nancy also took to her own Instagram account to share the news with her 2,317 followers, uploading the same glam snap with caption: ‘I’m thrilled and excited! I can finally announce that this year I’ll be one of the STRICTLY COME DANCING pro dancers..
‘I cannot wait to start this new journey with all these amazing people and share the magic together. Thank you so much @bbcstrictly for one of the most beautiful birthday gifts ever, thank you for making my dream come true!.. this is a very special day!

Fellow professional dancers and former contestants took to Strictly’s Instagram post to congratulate the newest addition, with 2017 contestant Mollie King commenting a series of emoji symbols ‘🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽’ and last year’s winner Stacey Dooley adding: ‘Queen Nancy ✨✨✨💕💕💕💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽’.
Fellow pro dancer Gorka Marquez, who recently welcomed his first child with ex-Strictly contestant Gemma Atkinson, also commented, writing: ‘Welcome to the clan👏🏻’.

While professional Oti Mabuse, whose sister Motsi was recently confirmed as the competition’s new judge, added: ‘Welcome to the family darling 😍’.
Nancy, who is from Hunan in China, has been dancing since she started to learn from the age of eight.
She went on to train at Guangdong Dance School in southeast China, which led to her starting a career as a professional Latin and ballroom dancer at just 11-years-old.
She has previously appeared on China’s versions of So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars.
