The new psychological thriller series stars Steve Carrell and Domhnall Gleeson as a therapist and a patient. Domhnall plays a serial killer who is looking to stop murdering people with the help of his captive therapist.

Cast of The Patient

The Patient stars Domhnall Gleeson (About Time) as Sam Fortner, a serial killer who is seeking therapeutic help to curb his homicidal urges. His therapist, and captive, is Alan Strauss who is mourning the death of his wife. Alan is played by Steve Carrell (The Office).

Linda Emond (The Unforgivable) plays Candace Fortner, Sam's mother. Other supporting cast members include Andrew Leeds as Ezra Strauss, Alan's estranged son, Laura Niemi as Beth Strauss, Alan's recently deceased wife, and David Alan Grier as Charlie Addison, Alan's former therapist.

The Patient release date

The first and second episode of The Patient were released on Tuesday, August 30. The following episodes will be released every Tuesday until the 10 episode miniseries concludes on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
