Coach's iconic sling bag is back and we want it in every color
The Cashin Carry sling bag by Coach is a throwback that's only available for a limited time
If nostalgia is the name of the fashion game, Coach has just done it right. The iconic brand re-introduced its signature Cashin Carry sling bag during its fall/winter 2022 show and it seems like fans old and new are already going crazy over it.
The item, one of the best crossbody bags for every occasion and budget, is a relatively small leather product that is shaped like a basket and features gold hardware accents. It’s a revamp of the original 1964 design.
The bag is now available online for $495—but it will be there for a limited time only, so get on it! You can order it in five different fall-appropriate colors: red/orange, brass/petunia, brass/honeycomb, brass/canyon and brass/everglade.

The limited-edition bag is a reimagining of the 1964 Coach style created by lead designer Bonnie Cashin.
"The minimalist tote is crafted of buttery soft glove-tanned leather finished with our classic edge-binding construction for durability and extra strength," reads the official description of the item, first created by Coach's lead designer Bonnie Cashin in the mid-1960s. "It features an interior zip pocket to organize essentials and an outside pocket detailed with our iconic kiss-lock closure inspired by vintage coin purses."
This isn't the first time that Coach has revived an old style. Take its Tabby bags, for example—the very '70s-like design has recently gained popularity once again, finding a niche of fans on TikTok in particular but also appearing on magazines of all types.
There is clearly something about revisiting old fashion statements that tugs at the heartstrings of shoppers everywhere. In addition to Coach’s latest redesign, a slew of other brands have re-launched iconic pieces in an effort to appeal to newer customers (or, perhaps, re-appeal to old customers).
Just last week, Miu Miu released a stunning sneaker collaboration with New Balance, the quintessential sneaker brand of the '80s and '90s. The two companies now offer a reimagined take on the 574 New Balance model, this one made with denim and available in dark-wash blue, optic white and khaki brown.
