Zoe West
It’s safe to say woman&home’s Books Editor Zoe West has read a LOT of books. An avid young bookworm obsessed with the misadventures of red-haired orphan Anne Shirley, Zoe never lost her love of reading. The fact she now gets to do it as her job is a constant source of wonderment for her.
Zoe regularly interviews authors, writes features, hosts live book events and presents social media reels. She also judges book prizes, which includes this year’s Theakston Crime Novel of the Year and Nero Book Awards.
In a previous life, Zoe planned advertising campaigns for major record companies but these days you’re more likely to see her out and about on a book brunch with a flat white and pile of exciting new reads.
At the weekend, Zoe can be found travelling up and down the breadth of the country with her two teenage daughters who compete in major dance competitions. The Blackpool Tower is quickly becoming her second home. Away from glitzy ballrooms and not-so-glitzy leisure centres, books and travel are her passions and she has her sights set on book pilgrimages. First stop: Ronda and Cordoba in Spain - the settings of Joanna Glen’s All My Mothers – which went to the top of her bucket list the moment she read it.
You’ll often find Zoe on Instagram or X raving about the books she loves, championing authors and looking for feature ideas.
