Following the historic inauguration of @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris, we will be hosting a special program at 8:30pm ET!Hosted by @tomhanks, our “Celebrating America” event will include performances from @AntClemons, @jonbonjovi, @ddlovato, @jtimberlake, and more! pic.twitter.com/sekrWlZWG7January 14, 2021
Tom is sure to make the special a light-hearted and uplifting celebration, to kick off a promising four years. The special will focus on frontline workers and the country’s resilience following political unrest. It will also focus on and celebrate democracy as a whole.
Justin Timberlake announced on Instagram a brand new song called ‘better days’ which he will be performing on the special. Timberlake said about his performance, “I’m very honored to announce we will be performing this song on January 20th for the Presidential Inauguration”
He went on to say “'We have a long way to go to fix, undo, and rebuild this country... but I hope now, despite the past four years, we are on our way.”
The show will air a few hours after Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are sworn in, they too will make an on-screen appearance. The inauguration itself will be mainly virtual, with strict safety protocols in place due to the pandemic and election violence.
