Prince William and Kate Middleton have sent thank you letters to those who wished Princess Charlotte a happy birthday, much to the excitement of royal fans.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge honored their daughter turning 7 on May 2 with the release of three portraits taken by Kate, an avid photographer, at Anmer Hall. Princess Charlotte’s birthday photos were, unsurprisingly, a huge hit online, garnering thousands of sweet responses from royal fans in the hours after their publication.
William and Kate have since acknowledged these messages, sending a special card in the post to those who snail-mailed their birthday wishes to the young royal. A photo of the exciting delivery has now been shared on Instagram by @katsroyalletters, who has been collecting royal replies since 2015.
"Thank you for the kind birthday message which you sent for Princess Charlotte’s seventh birthday," the card reads in typed letters.
"Princess Charlotte had a lovely day and your message was greatly appreciated by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge who send you their very best wishes." An adorable photo of Charlotte surrounded by flowers was also included in the envelope.
It remains unknown exactly how Princess Charlotte celebrated her special day, but it's been reported that she spent the occasion at Amner Hall, the Cambridge family's Norfolk residence.

A source told US Weekly that Kate and William were keen to make an extra special effort for Charlotte's seventh birthday, after two years of lowkey parties during the COVID-19 pandemic. It's understood that she had two celebrations - one at Amner Hall for family and another at Kensington Palace for her classmates at Thomas's Battersea.
“It was the first birthday party Charlotte has had with all her friends,” the source revealed. “She’s such a popular little girl and loved every minute of being center of attention.”
