The royal Christmas treat the Queen won't share with her great-grandchildren
Looks delicious!
There is a royal Christmas treat the Queen won't share with her great-grandchildren this year.
- The royal family's social media has revealed an adorable festive treat that will be served in the royal household this Christmas.
- This festive treat that is typically enjoyed by children sadly won't be shared with the younger members of the royal family.
- In other royal news, Prince Charles makes a ‘substantial personal donation’ to heartbreaking cause as he opens up on ‘catastrophic’ situation.
The royal family's social media page shared a deliciously festive yuletide recipe for a gingerbread house. The post showed a video of a chef baking the dough and making an intricate design that's fit for a Queen.
The caption of the post read, "In the run up to Christmas, the chefs in the Royal kitchens have shared their recipe for making the perfect Gingerbread House. Make with warming ground ginger and decorate to your own style!"

Fans were mightily impressed by this baking feat and many commented with their delight. "That has to be the prettiest one I’ve ever seen ❤️!" said one fan. Other commenters said that the video was 'mesmerizing' and 'beautiful.' One fan even commented, "I hope Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis get to see and taste this! ❄️ 😍❤️"
Sadly for the Queen's great-grandchildren, it is unlikely that they will be able to enjoy this festive treat with their great-grandmother this year.
Due to the surge in COVID-19 Omicron cases in the UK, the Queen canceled Christmas lunch with the extended royal family that was due to take place on Tuesday, December 21.
The Queen has now officially called off the festive tradition of celebrating Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Sandringham Castle with members of the royal family. Buckingham Palace confirmed only days ago that the Queen would remain at Windsor Castle for the rest of the Christmas period.

This canceled event has now changed Prince William and Kate Middleton's Christmas travel plans as the family will now likely stay at their London home, Kensington Palace, and may not want to risk the Queen's health by visiting her in Windsor.
Although there are rumors that the Queen may now spend her first Christmas without Prince Philip alone, it is thought that she may still have some visitors from the family in the local area.
Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex and their children Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn, live at Bagshot Park in Surrey which is just a 20-minute journey to the Queen's residence in Windsor. This means the Queen will likely have some family around her for the festive season as she marks her first Christmas as a widow.
