With Queen Elizabeth II’s family tree going back hundreds of years, it has recently been discovered that many famous faces link in some way to Her Majesty. A new study by OnlineGambling.com has unearthed a variety of Hollywood connections that are sure to surprise some royal fans and perhaps even the Queen herself.
Here we reveal the Queen’s most shocking celebrity connections...
Which celebrities are related to the Queen?
Given how extensive the Queen’s family tree must be, many people might be wondering exactly how many Hollywood stars have links to the beloved monarch. The answer, according to the study, is quite a few.
Royal connections don't just end in the UK, they're more involved in Hollywood than you think. The study reportedly found that celebrities such as Hilary Duff and Johnny Depp are both actually related to Queen Elizabeth II.
As surprising as it sounds, Hilary Duff is understood to be the Queen's 18th cousin and Johnny Depp her 18th cousin.

And though the British Royal Family may know of their connections to various Dukes, Viscounts and Lords, it turns out that actor Ralph Fiennes has a surprising connection to the Royal Family.

Perhaps best known for playing evil Lord Voldemort in the film adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Ralph is actually an 8th cousin of the Queen's son, Prince Charles.
Who else is connected to the Queen?
Whilst it may not be a biological connection, actor Johnny Depp also links director Tim Burton to the monarch, as he is godfather to Tim’s son Billy.
Tim’s former partner Helena Bonham Carter will no doubt be a familiar face that all The Crown fans will recognise. The popular actor, who also starred in the Harry Potter films alongside Ralph Fiennes, played Queen Elizabeth II’s sister Princess Margaret in the Netflix hit.

If that wasn’t shocking enough, the Queen is even thought to have a link to singer-songwriter Marilyn Manson. With his signature gothic makeup, Marilyn Manson may seem a far cry from the Royal Family.
However, as godfather to Johnny Depp's daughter, actress Lily-Rose Depp, Manson is part of the extended Royal Family Tree. Although we’re not sure we can imagine them all socialising in Buckingham Palace.
