The Queen's olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle has been revealed by a royal source who claims her majesty invited the pair to Balmoral Castle this summer.

The Queen and other members of the extended Royal Family often spend their summers in Scotland at Balmoral Castle, and it is thought that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently staying there with their three children.

It has been revealed that the Queen extended an olive branch to Prince Harry and Meghan by ensuring that they too were invited on the Royal retreat. An insider even revealed that staff have been told to expect the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their two children at Balmoral.

"Staff have been told to expect the full list of royals including Harry, Meghan and their children Archie and Lilibet," a Balmoral insider told The Sun. "They are preparing for the Sussexes.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have only been seen in the UK on a few occasions since they stepped back as senior royals in March 2020. There have been a number of reports of bad blood between the couple and the other members of the Royal Family so this gesture from the Queen could be seen as an olive branch for the couple to come back into the fold.

Another insider said that this potential holiday would be a great opportunity for the royals to spend time with the Queen. "Balmoral is the perfect place for them to spend a little bit of quality time with the Queen," said the insider who added, "they barely had 15 minutes with her at the jubilee."

Despite reportedly not spending a great deal of time with Her Majesty during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, yet another insider has suggested that this olive branch will not be accepted by the royal couple. "I would be stunned if they did turn up," the insider told The Sun.

Only time will tell if Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan will leave their $14 million Santa Barbara mansion and travel to Scotland for the summer to build bridges with the Royal Family but at the moment it's looking unlikely.
