The Queen's go-to takeaway is a greasy favorite that is loved across the UK, and also has a special place in the hearts of the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Sussex.

Many fans are often wondering, what does the Queen eat? There are many common foods the royal family are banned from eating, plus the Queen has never once revealed her favorite meal. For this reason, it can be hard to suss out what exactly the Queen likes to eat.

Reportedly, the Queen is much like the rest of the UK and enjoys indulging in a takeaway every now and then, particularly a nice portion of chips with a big piece of battered fish when in Balmoral Castle.

A royal source told The Sun, "She very occasionally treats herself to fish and chips when at Balmoral." Of course, the Queen herself doesn't pop down to the local chippy and have a pickled egg while she waits. "A footman is despatched to get it from the local town of Ballater," explained the source.

Much like the Queen, Camilla Parker Bowles, the Duchess of Cornwall, is also partial to fish and chips. When discussing her favorite foods, the Duchess revealed to You Magazine that she is a big fan of beans on toast and fish and chips from the chip shop.

"One of my favorite foods is baked beans on toast. Always Heinz," said the Duchess, "And freshly cooked fish and chips, wrapped in paper. That smell. You cannot beat proper fish and chips."

Just like her step-mother-in-law, Meghan Markle is another member of the extended royal family who enjoys fish and chips.

A royal source told the Daily Star, "Meghan has become a convert to fish and chips UK-style since hanging out with Harry. But unlike Brits, she doesn’t like her chips soaked in oil or soggy."

The Duchess also reportedly prefers an American-style fry rather than a thick-cut slightly soggy chip that is more common in UK chippies. "Her preference is for them to be crispy and well done like American-style French fries. She told us that she even cooks her own healthy version with less deep frying,” said the source.
