This royal has been crowned Britain's favourite in a new poll
Queen Elizabeth has been voted the nation's favourite senior member of the Royal Family.
- In a poll run by Express.co.uk, the Queen secured almost half the total votes.
- Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge came in second place with 26% of votes.
- This follows royal news that Princess Anne's husband made a surprising confession about the Queen.
What did royal fans say about the Queen?
One voter commented, "From across the pond, and for what it's worth: my vote would go to the Queen, she's a living legend."
They added, "With Catherine as a close second. She's a legend in the making.
"Catherine is remarkable. She has taken her time to gradually fit in, learn the ropes, never puts a foot wrong.
"She isn't an attention seeker but makes others shine - which is a truly exceptional gift."
Princess Anne came in third place, securing 11% of the vote.
This comes after the husband of Princess Anne spoke out about one of the things that “surprised” him the most when he joined the Royal Family back in 1992.

Appearing in a new ITV documentary that has been made in honour of his wife to mark her 70th birthday next month, Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence spoke about his experiences with the Royal Family.
He even mentioned his mother-in-law, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, in the film.
Speaking in ITV’s Anne: The Princess Royal at 70, Sir Timothy remarked on the similarities between the Princess Royal and her mother.
He said, “One of the great surprises for me, when I first went to Balmoral and to Sandringham and Windsor was that these places are full of laughter.
“The similarities with Princess Anne’s father are much talked about, but what is less spoken about is the similarities with her mother, the Queen.'
He added, “The common theme is humour, fun”.
