The Duchess of Cambridge released her new photography book on Friday 7th May and took to Instagram to promote the launch. The book titled ‘Hold Still’ features photos from a range of individuals across the UK who wanted to share their experience of lockdown with their experience.

To promote this launch the Duchess visited The National Portrait Gallery in London. During this trip the Duchess stunned in a bright red coat that was perfectly tailored to the Duchess' figure. Fashion Expert,Twenty York Street's, Marilou Moles, said about this look, "Another classic take from the fashionable royal. Red may not be a traditional colour for spring but this certainly speaks to the necessity of light toppers in the spring time! It’s warm but could chilly with the chance of sprinkles, a wise choice indeed!"

The Duchess also perfectly complemented this bright coat with neutral brown tones. She paired a light brown shoe with her handbag and skirt to really let the red pop. Kate also wore her hair down in gentle curls that showed off her new caramel highlights.

Fashion Expert, Aga Moodley, Personal Stylist & Founder of I AM the Brand  said, “Kate looked chic and vibrant in a bespoke shin-length red coat by Eponine, complemented by tones of beige and brown but with subtlety. The Royals use colours effectively to send subliminal messages and here the colour combination is perfect to announce presence with subtlety. The styling choice of pairing the clean, neat design of the coat with a tincture of texture in the form of pleat is pure elegance.”

Eponine is a brand that custom makes items for their clients, so unfortunately this coat from the Duchess' collection might be a little tricky to get your hands on. However, there are plenty of items on the high street that mean you can still get that classic Kate look. Boden sell a coat that is similar to the Duchess' bright coat. This coat is a shorter option but has the same chic button style.
