The cruel prank Duchess Camilla played on her younger sister was recently revealed  in an ITV documentary titled Camilla's Country Life which is set to air on Wednesday 13 July 2022, 9pm on ITV.

Anecdotes from the Duchess of Cornwall's childhood have been shared during a new documentary about Camilla on ITV. In the documentary, the Duchess was interviewed with her younger sister, Annabel Elliot née Shand as they walked around Hall Place, the Hampshire home that the sister's grandparents used to own.

In a clip from the documentary, the interviewer Mark asked Annabel about a cruel prank Duchess Camilla played on her as a child. "Have you had a discussion about the buried teddy bear," he asked.

Annabel responded, "Sorry - that was mine!" She then said, "Camilla, Mark just brought up the teddy bear, hiding my teddy bear." Turning back to Mark she said, "She only owned up to me about a month before I got married, that actually she buried him." 

It was confirmed that Camilla buried the teddy on the grounds of Hall Place after the pair had a squabble and Camilla decided to punish her younger sister. "My sister and I had had a bit of an argument so I buried him, it was sibling rivalry." Camilla added, "Yes, Tiddy Bar - he had a very happy resting ground, in the rose garden."

When Annabel was asked if she had forgiven her elder sister, she laughed and said 'certainly not! No it still rankles to this day!"

Duchess Camilla is not the only member of the Royal Family who was a bit of a prankster as a child. Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were the butts of Prince William's cruel Easter prank as the Prince stood on a chair and bit down on a chocolate egg and ripped the decorative mouse’s head off. 

Similarly, placing plastic flies in a sugar bowl during tea time was a naughty prank Prince Harry played on the Queen as a child. It seems that all of the royals enjoy a good prank!
