The Queen sparked debate with a sweet throwback post as fans were left torn over their favorite moments from this year’s milestone celebration.
- The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee might only seem like yesterday but the Royal Family’s social media accounts have revealed it was 70 days ago.
- Sharing Her Majesty’s favorite Jubilee memories they invited fans to reveal their own - and there’s been quite the response!
- This royal news comes as a director claimed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle inspired ‘national conversation’ and ‘polarized opinions’ like Princess Diana.
Back in June the extended Royal Family and fans across the world came together to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The central celebratory weekend featured a packed schedule of events, ranging from the annual Trooping the Color parade to a second balcony appearance from those highest in the royal line of succession. And whilst there were plenty of what could be described as the best Jubilee moments that captured our imaginations, the Queen’s personal highlights have now been shared in a sweet breakdown.
Taking to social media, the Royal Family shared a sweet video of ‘7 Unforgettable Moments from the Platinum Jubilee’. Opening with the iconic moment the Queen appeared on the Buckingham Palace balcony, the video was accompanied by an intriguing list - though fans thought some moments were noticeably missing…

“Can you believe it’s been 7️⃣0️⃣ days since the The Queen’s #PlatinumJubilee central weekend!?” the Royal Family caption declared excitedly, before going on to divulge the monarch’s favorite memories from that unforgettable weekend.
The moments featured in both the caption and the throwback video included the Trooping the Color parade, the lighting of the central beacon, the Service of Thanksgiving, the Platinum Party at the Palace, Prince Charles’ heartfelt tribute to his mother and the Jubilee Pageant. Their royal list of wonderful memories was rounded off with a truly iconic moment - the Queen’s final balcony appearance.
However while these might be the monarch’s Jubilee highlights, the Queen sparked debate amongst fans with this nostalgic post. Inviting them to share their own favorite Jubilee memories as well as discovering hers, some agreed with her but others felt there were other occasions that stood out even more…
“The final balcony appearance 😍 such a strong image with the Queen and three future Kings!”, one person declared, echoing the Queen’s personal favorites list.

Whilst another partially agreed with Her Majesty’s choices as they praised the Trooping the Color parade, writing, “Trooping the Color with my daughters. Fly past was amazing.”
“The beacon lighting was so special ❤️❤️”, another person commented admiringly.
Though someone else pointed out an equally iconic moment - the Queen’s Paddington video - that was missed off the list as they shared, “Paddington bear takes tea and marmalade sandwiches with The Queen, just perfect ❤️”.
“My favorite moment is Louis 😂😂😂😂😂”, another person said - and who could blame them as Prince Louis’ best Jubilee moments brought joy to fans everywhere.
But although the Queen sparked debate in the comments with her intriguing caption and list, it’s clear that the Jubilee celebrations made quite an impression on fans across the world. Now 70 days later Britain’s longest-reigning monarch is currently enjoying her annual summer break at Balmoral Castle as she looks ahead to the final few months of her Jubilee year.
