At Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, November 2, the Queen Consort, Camilla Parker Bowles, was joined by the Earl of Wessex, King Charles, the Duke of Gloucester, and Princess Anne as they celebrated the medal winners from the Olympics.
Camilla looked stunning as she wore a dark blue-purple velvet gown that she accessorized with a matching clutch bag. The Queen consort wore a red poppy on her lapel and paired the look with black stockings and small-heeled court shoes.
When the Royal Family's Instagram page shared an image of the event, fans were quick to compliment the Queen consort's stunning look. "The Queen consort is glowing!!!!" said one fan. "The Queen Consort and the Princess Royal steal the show!" said another who also thought Anne also looked particularly fabulous.
"They all appear to be having a great time! The Queen looks lovely in her blue velvet," said yet another commenter. Velvet is a classic go-to look for a Christmas party outfit and it seemed that the Queen was quick to get into the festive spirit with this perfect Fall look.
A post about the event read, "From boxing to athletics, across Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022, British Olympic and Paralympic athletes won almost 200 medals."
"Tonight at Buckingham Palace, hundreds of medal winners gathered for a reception, hosted by The King and The Queen Consort, joined by The Earl of Wessex @paralympicsgb_official Patron, The Princess Royal @TeamGB President, and The Duke of Gloucester, in celebration of their achievements. For this recent event with the Olympians, the Queen consort opted against extravagant jewelry and instead wore small pearl drop earrings and a small diamond-encrusted brooch. This allowed her violet gown to be the real focal point of the look. However, since becoming Queen, Camilla has refused to shy away from exciting accessories and outfits that show off her new glamorous role in the Royal Family.
Last month, Queen Camilla exuded elegance with precious £44k diamond earrings that symbolized good luck. The stunning Van Cleef and Arpels earrings match the bracelet that can often be seen on Camilla's wrist, which is another expensive item in the royal's private jewelry box.
Also in October, Camilla upped the style stakes with a fabulously flattering tunic-style dress for her first solo engagement. The Queen stunned in navy, which is a tone that perfectly complements her features.
