Queen Camilla's A-lister pals include an Oscar winner, renowned authors, and a drag queen
Queen Camilla's A-lister pals include a who's who of celebrity royalty and she's not the only queen among the well-known bunch
Queen Camilla's A-lister pals prove that there's a lot more to her social life than being a working royal. She has these glam individuals' contact details it appears that they've got her back - as her high-profile besties have recently spoken out in support of the Queen Consort and the Royal Family.
- Queen Camilla's A-lister pals include Dame Judi Dench, Dame Joanna Lumley, late author Hilary Mantel, and Paul O'Grady.
- The Queen Consort's friends, including Dame Judi and Joanna, have spoken out against Netflix The Crown.

Although she's become accustomed to rubbing shoulders with the noble elite, Queen Camilla's A-lister pals remain close to the hardworking royal. This was recently evidenced when her dear friend Dame Judi Dench penned an open letter dubbing The Crown season 5 an, "inaccurate and hurtful account of history." Their friendship is many years old and, sharing a love of all things literary, Dame Judi showed her support for the Queen Consort when she took part in Camilla's book project - The Reading Room. The bosom buddies even spent time on holiday together in the Isle of Wight, visiting Queen Victoria's former home of Osborne and royal fans were entranced by images of the pair enjoying ice creams on the beach together.
Dame Judi isn't the only famous actor (with a Damehood) who's friendly with the Queen Consort, as Dame Joanna Lumley has not only spoken in support of the royal - but as someone who genuinely knows her and King Charles. Dame Joanna, best known and loved for her role as Patsy on Absolutely Fabulous, is even preempted other famous faces by speaking out against The Crown.
Speaking to the Mirror back in March 2022, she said, "Suddenly, the show began to get closer and closer and they had people acting as Prince Charles, as Camilla Parker Bowles, as Princess Anne. I know them all."
Explaining her concern that the fictional show is considered by some to be entirely based on fact, she asserted that she refused to watch the series. "I have some loyalty," she said, "as one would to anybody they know and like and are lucky enough to be friendly with."
Paul O'Grady, also known as Lily Savage, is an iconic British drag queen and TV personality. He and the Queen Consort share one thing in common - a passion for all things canine.
Among his many beloved pets, Paul has a Jack Russell, which is King Charles and Camilla's favorite dog breed. Paul and Camilla became the firmest of friends via Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, a London-based animal shelter that they both publicly support.

Following an event where they both made an appearance at, Paul took to his Instagram account to describe Camilla as, "A lovely lady who’s passionate about dogs."
