A new Netflix series documenting the life of Princess Diana could be 'distressing' for William and Harry, according to a royal expert.
The four-part series, called “Being Me: Diana” is expected to hit Netflix at some point in the future.
What will the Princess Diana documentary show?
The documentary will apparently show unseen footage from Diana’s speeches between 1990 and 1993, as well as interviews with people close to her.
It’s also thought that the documentary will focus on Diana's mental health, eating disorders and her unhappy marriage to Prince Charles.
Royal author, Leslie Carroll thinks this is going to be painful for Diana's sons, Princes William and Harry.
She said, "It might provide closure, or it might-open new wounds for the sons.
"It all depends on who is going to speak to the camera and what they might reveal."
She added, "Most people who are royal watchers already know that what really broke Diana’s heart was her husband’s marital infidelity. "His relationship with Camilla, which began years before he met Diana and never ended; and which drove her into the arms of other men."
Leslie Carroll also hints that Diana and Charles' split affected the princes mental health.
“For part of their young lives the siblings were raised shuttled between two households," she explained.
"Hearing their parents argue, and undoubtedly expected to take sides.
“It doesn’t matter that they were princes, that’s not an emotionally healthy situation for any child."
A TV source added, "William and Harry will be very upset and angry. "It’s particularly distressing for Harry because he’s been working with Netflix."
