Princess Charlotte’s household ‘obsession’ that keeps Kate Middleton on her toes

Princess Charlotte reportedly has one household “obsession” that likely keeps her busy mom Kate Middleton on her toes at home. 

• Princess Charlotte might only be six, but it seems she’s already following in her mom’s fashion-forward footsteps. 
• It’s claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s daughter is “obsessed” with one accessory in particular.

Kate Middleton’s dresses have long excited and inspired royal fans, but it seems her young daughter might be just as influenced by her mom’s love of fashion as they are. As one of the Queen’s great-grandchildren, six-year-old Princess Charlotte has grown up in the royal spotlight. Though the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge aim to give their three children a level of privacy despite this, Princess Charlotte is glimpsed at major royal occasions such as the Queen’s official birthday parade and the Christmas Day walk to church.

These rare appearances not only give insight into the young royals themselves, but fans are excited to see their adorable outfits for the special occasions. And when it comes to Princess Charlotte it seems that fashion is something she’s starting to take very seriously...

According to Life&Style, a source claimed to the publication that if there’s one must-have accessory in the six-year-old’s life it’s sunglasses—especially if they belong to her mom! 

“Charlotte has an eye for fashion and is obsessed with sunglasses,” the insider alleged, before intriguingly suggesting, “When Kate can’t find a pair, they’ll often be found in Charlotte’s bedroom.”

Though the source claimed Princess Charlotte has a particular love of the future Queen Consort’s stylish eyewear, apparently she has a “little collection” of her very own shades at the family’s home, whether Kensington Palace or Anmer Hall.

“Charlotte already has a little collection of high street kids sunglasses at home,” they added. 

But whilst Kate might supposedly find herself searching for sunglasses in Charlotte’s room when she wants to opt for a particular style, their shared love of fashion isn’t the only thing mother and daughter have in common. Reports have previously claimed Carole Middleton’s eye for “perfection” could’ve helped Kate prepare for her future royal role from childhood, as the Duchess is known to be accomplished at a impressive skillset. 

These skills have been witnessed by fans in recent months, from Kate’s piano performance at the Together at Christmas carol concert to showing her sporty side with Emma Raducanu on the tennis court last year. 

And it seems that Charlotte is every bit as sporty as the Duchess, with the Life&Style insider alleging that Kate is even teaching her daughter one of her school favorites. 

“She’s athletic and passionate about sports,” the insider claimed. “Swimming, tennis and horse riding are her favorites. Kate is teaching Charlotte how to play hockey in the garden.”

The Queen is also known to love horse riding and Kate is said to share her love of tennis with her father Michael Middleton. Now it seems as though she’s passing on the love of sports to her daughter. And if Princess Charlotte's household 'obsession' with sunglasses and fashion as well as her passion for sports continues, who knows what exciting path her life could take one day?
