Princess Charlotte’s birthday celebrated with new photos, ‘William’s mini me!’

Today, May 2, is Princess Charlotte’s seventh birthday. To celebrate her special day, new photos taken by Kate Middleton have been shared on the official Instagram account for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The photos have proven hugely popular already, with fans rushing to wish Charlotte a happy birthday and pointing out the likeness to her father.

Photos of Princess Charlotte taken by Kate Middleton have been shared online to celebrate Charlotte’s seventh birthday.

Captioning the snaps “Seven tomorrow!”, Kate and William shared the photos on May 1 on their official Instagram account.

In the adorable photos, Charlotte is wearing a smart blue jumper with a peter pan collar polka dot shirt collar poking out. In the first photo, the young princess is giving a big, toothy grin (with some baby teeth missing) while hugging their black cocker spaniel.

The puppy was introduced to the family in 2021, and they were all said to be “besotted” with the new addition, who came from a litter raised by Kate’s brother, James Middleton.

In the second photo, Charlotte is the picture of innocence as she sits among a field of flowers.

Fans were quick to flood the comments of the official Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s shared Instagram account with birthday wishes for the young princess.

“The world sends its love to HRH Princess Charlotte,” one fan wrote.

“She’s so grown up already!” another added, while one fan pointed out the princess’ infectious grin writing, “Simply adorable. Just look at this smile.”

Another fan summed up the adorable snaps perfectly, writing “Toothless grins are the best! Happy birthday to Princess Charlotte!”

As well as well-wishes for Charlotte, many also agreed that she has become the double of her father, Prince William.

One wrote, “William’s mini me!” and another agreed, writing, “I usually think she looks like The Queen but in this… she resembles her dad.”

Others echoed these sentiments, calling the beaming young princess “Daddy’s twin” and “she is Prince William with long hair.”
