Princess Beatrice has today announced her engagement to her boyfriend of 11 months Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. The Queen's granddaughter, who is ninth in line to the British throne, got engaged to the 34-year-old property developer while away in Italy earlier this month.

It has been confirmed that Princess Beatrice, who is the eldest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah, Duchess of York, will tie the knot with Edoardo (also known as Edo) sometime next year, after they began dating last autumn.
In an official statement, Beatrice and Edoardo said, "We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement.
"We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to actually be married.
"We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."
Beatrice's mum Sarah Ferguson has opened up about her excitement on the engagement, revealing that she has 'tears of joy' at the news.
The Duchess of York took to her Instagram page to share the adorable engagement photos of the happy couple, revealed that Beatrice asked her younger sister Princess Eugenie to take as they wanted her to 'capture this special moment'

'I know what a mother feels so I have tears of joy,' gushed Duchess Sarah alongside her post. 'I am so proud of this sensational news. Andrew and I are just the luckiest people ever to have two great sons in law.
'@princesseugenietook the colour photographs as my girls are so close. Beatrice and Edo wanted her to capture this special moment.'
The royal also revealed that a selection of the sweet engagement photos were taken in Windsor Great Park, close to where Princess Eugenie tied the knot with businessman Jack Brooksbank last year. The park is also the location of the Windsor family home, Royal Lodge - in a touching nod to her family.
Beatrice's proud sister Eugenie also took to her own Instagram account to congratulate the duo on their exciting news, again sharing the intimate photos of the betrothed couple that she'd taken.
