Princess Anne wore a stunning brooch from her teenage years in Uganda on Thursday, proving once again you don't need to purchase new pieces to look stylish.

The Princess Royal arrived in Kampala on Tuesday to support her numerous patronages in the East African country, marking her second overseas royal trip since the Queen's death in September. (She also jetted off the New York earlier this month for a whirlwind 48-hour visit). She has been accompanied by her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, for the four-day long tour.

Princess Anne's schedule in Uganda has been jam-packed ever since she landed, with the 72-year-old visiting multiple health units on Tuesday and opening an Opportunity Bank Branch at a refugee settlement on Wednesday.

Last night, she was hosted at the High Commissioner's Residence where she "met UK charities operating in #Uganda, inspirational Ugandans & Government officials to celebrate the thriving UK partnership."

As photos of the late Queen's only daughter mingling at the event circulate online, royal fans have praised Princess Anne for her ongoing commitment to the Crown. The former equestrian has long held the title of the Royal Family's hardest-working member, attending 387 engagements in 2021 alone.

Eagle-eyed followers were also quick to notice a poignant detail on Princess Anne's outfit at the High Commissioner's Residence. The royal grandmother wore a white jacket with a red collar and matching pleated skirt to the glitzy reception, pairing the look with black gloves and a long-strapped black handbag.

It was her stunning gold brooch, however, which has been in her jewelry collection since she was 18 years old, that truly caught people's attention.

The ribbon-shaped badge was first worn in public by Princess Anne in February 1969, when the Queen hosted Astronaut Frank Borman, the Commander of Apollo 8, at Buckingham Palace. At the time, the regal teenager teamed the brooch with a short-sleeved shift dress, a white wristwatch, and black brogues.

The spectacular outfit is just another home run in the royal's lineup of stellar outfits in Uganda, with Princess Anne's double denim and 'snazzy' sunglasses for her first engagement of the trip delighting royal fans.
