Prince William made a surprising revelation about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal baby during his recent trip to New Zealand.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are preparing to welcome their first child any day now, but it appears royal fans will find out the exciting news before big brother William.

The Duke of Cambridge, who is currently in New Zealand paying tribute to the victims of the Christchurch mosque shootings, joked with fans that he has no way of finding out if the new royal baby has arrived.

During a walkabout with fans, William was reportedly asked, ‘Any sign of the royal baby?’ to which he responds, ‘I haven't got my phone on me, I have no idea. You guys will find out before I do at this rate!’

Prince William also joked with the crowd about his own children. When asked about jet lag, the Duke of Cambridge said, ‘What jet lag? I’ve got three children now. Jet lag doesn’t happen.’

Royal fans are anxiously awaiting news of Meghan and Harry's first child, since she is expected to give birth at the end of April or early May.

But before William’s royal trip to New Zealand, he and wife Catherine reportedly paid a visit to see the Duchess of Sussex at her and Harry’s new home, Frogmore Cottage, in Windsor, on Easter Sunday, when they were in the area for a church service.

‘William and Catherine visited because Meghan was unable to attend the service. They wanted to be supportive and see how she is doing. It was a lovely afternoon,’ a source told Harpers Bazaar.

Prior to their visit at Frogmore, Prince Harry had joined his brother and sister-in-law, as well as other members of the royal family, at St. George’s Chapel, in Windsor Castle.

The source also revealed that Prince Harry and Meghan have created a ‘lovely’ family home at Frogmore Cottage, which required an extensive refurbishment before they moved in.

They said, ‘Meg and Harry are really settled in now. It’s truly a lovely home and they have done such a great job with the space. So much light and positive energy. I couldn’t think of a better place to start a family.’

The countdown is on!
