Royal fans in tears as Prince William pays poignant tribute to mother Princess Diana in Mary Berry’s festive special
The Duke of Duchess of Cambridge have joined forces with baking legend Mary Berry for a festive special, but it’s the lovely tribute to Princess Diana that’s getting royal fans teary.

- The Duke pays tribute to his late mother, Princess Diana, explaining how the visits to Passage Charity with her had a ‘profound impact’ on him.
- This follows royal news that an expert revealed how theDuchess of Cambridge's style has changed over the years.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be featuring in a new show alongside former Bake Off star, Mary Berry, in which they will looking at some of the charities the pair support.
Ahead of the show airing tonight, Kensington Palace shared a short clip in which Prince William is seen chatting to Mary about visiting the homeless charity with his mother when he was younger.
Alongside the clip, they wrote, ‘”It had a profound impact on me." — The Duke of Cambridge on the visits he made in his youth to the @PassageCharity with his mother Diana, Princess of Wales #ABerryRoyalChristmas.’
In the clip, he’s heard saying, "It was one of the first places I came to actually. I must have been between eight and 10, something like that. It had a profound impact on me.
“My mother knew what she was doing with it. She realised that it was very important when you grow up - especially in the life that we grew up - that you realise that life happens beyond palace walls and that you see real people struggling with real issues.”
Responding to the lovely clip on Twitter, royal fans were moved by how much Princess Diana’s charity has shaped Prince William.

One said, ‘I love when Will talks about his mother, and what she has done is still alive for him and will pass on to his children.’
Another wrote, ‘What an amazing and wonderful human being Prince William is. His beautiful mother, Princess Diana would be so very proud of the man he is today.’
A third confessed the video made them emotional, writing, ‘It made me cry.’
