Prince William “guided” Duchess Catherine through podcast nervousness
Duchess Catherine appeared on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast last year
Duchess Catherine’s podcast appearance on Happy Mum, Happy Baby last year delighted many royal fans, as she warmly discussed the highs and lows of motherhood.
- Duchess Catherine appeared on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast in February last year.
- Now some have suggested Prince William "guided" her in the lead-up to the podcast interview, as she was "nervous".
- In other Royal News, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have quit social media.
Now some have suggested that the Duchess of Cambridge was “guided” in the run-up to this significant interview by Prince William. Duchess Catherine was reportedly “nervous” about going through with the “candid” podcast recording. On Happy Mum, Happy Baby, she opened up about her own experience of motherhood and explained more about her early years’ work. In November 2020, it was reported that the Duchess’ 5 Big Questions on the Under 5s survey received a record-breaking number of responses.
Though it seems that preparing to reveal details of her family and working life to listeners and podcast host Giovanna Fletcher was a nerve-wracking ordeal.
It has now been suggested that it was Prince William who inspired the Duchess to go ahead with the interview.

What did Duchess Catherine say about motherhood on the podcast?
As reported by Express.co.uk, Ms Fiorito spoke of how “we had never heard her so candid”. Reflecting that the podcast recording happened “before all the Zoom calls”, she explained that "So much of what we saw of Kate was her in photos and on these royal tours."
The host remarked, "we didn't just get that much of her actually talking” prior to the podcast. However, they revealed that on the podcast, Duchess Catherine “talked about her Lindo Wing experience with George” and how it was “slightly terrifying, but it was important for her to do.”
"She talked about her morning sickness, her choice of hypnobirthing and also her mum guilt," they remarked.
On the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, Duchess Catherine spoke of how “it’s a constant challenge” to balance family and working life. Duchess Catherine and Prince William are proud parents to Prince George (7), Princess Charlotte (5) and Prince Louis (2).
The Cambridges are currently understood to be at their Norfolk countryside home, Anmer Hall, where they spent Christmas together as a family.
