Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's rumored vow renewal ‘cringeworthy’ for royals, author claims

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are rumored to be considering a vow renewal, though a royal author now claimed that if they do it could be “cringeworthy” for the royals.
- The Duke and Duchess of Sussex could reportedly be contemplating a vow renewal four years after their fairytale wedding.
- Now a royal expert has expressed his belief that if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do renew their vows in the US it could be “cheesy”.
- This royal news comes as the Queen’s touching gift from Ukraine on the country’s Independence Day was revealed.
Whilst it might seem like only yesterday that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot at St George’s Chapel near Windsor Castle, the couple celebrated their four year anniversary in May this year. And whilst their wedding surrounded by much of the extended Royal Family and watched by millions across the world was truly unforgettable it's recently been claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could be preparing for another beautiful ceremony.
In recent weeks rumors have arisen suggesting that Prince Harry and Meghan could reportedly be preparing to renew their vows. Opening up to Heat magazine, a source alleged that the couple have been considering turning the occasion into a “big family vacation” that said that this so-called vow renewal could also double as a second honeymoon.
"They’re looking at various venues and figuring out the type of ceremony they want, as well as how many guests to invite,” they alleged, before adding, “The grand plan is to turn it into a big family vacation that will also serve as a second honeymoon."
It was said that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s children, Archie and Lilibet, as well as Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland are expected to attend any reported vow renewal, as well as a handful of friends such as Katherine and David Foster. Some have even since suggested that a camera crew could be there filming for an upcoming series.
Whilst the Sussexes haven't confirmed the reports, speculation has continued. Now royal author Duncan Larcombe has expressed his belief to OK! that if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s rumored vow renewal goes ahead, it might make the royals "cringe".
“If they do something like this, I suspect the Royals will be passing around the family bucket,” he said. “It will be cringeworthy and, heaven forbid, how cheesy it will look.”

Duncan's declaration comes after months of speculation regarding the Sussexes’ relationship with the Royal Family amid reports of a so-called “rift”. Since Prince Harry and Meghan “stepped back” as senior royals, they’ve only been back to the UK a few times and only once with their children.
This important trip came in June when the family came over for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. During the visit both the Queen and Prince of Wales are understood to have met Lilibet for the first time, with her grandfather Prince Charles “thrilled” at the emotional reunion.
Over the past two years, Prince Harry and Meghan have been enjoying more freedom and privacy now they live outside the royal spotlight. If the rumors of a vow renewal end up being correct, they could simply wish to reaffirm their love for each other in a more intimate setting.
They are also now parents and so if they do ever renew their vows it's possible Archie and Lilibet might get to enjoy this special moment. Either way, royal fans will likely continue to treasure magical memories of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Windsor wedding.
