Prince Charles shares rare photo of Prince William as a baby in sweet birthday tribute to eldest son

Prince Charles shared a rare baby photo of his son, Prince William, to mark his 39th birthday today. 

• A photo shared on the Clarence House Instagram account shows Prince Charles with his first-born son, Prince William, as a baby.
• Prince William is celebrating his last birthday in his thirties today, ahead of his milestone 40th next year. 
• This royal news comes after it was claimed that Princess Diana would be "utterly heartbroken" if she was alive today. 

An incredibly sweet image of Prince Charles holding his eldest son as a baby was shared to mark the future King's 39th birthday today. 

The Clarence House Instagram also posted a lovely photo of William, Charles and Duchess Camilla laughing together, with a caption reading, "Wishing The Duke of Cambridge a very Happy Birthday today! 🎂."

Royal fans took to the comment section to thank Charles for the touching upload. 

"Such lovely photos!! They are a treasured family. Happy Birthday ❤️," one penned. 

"Such warm photo of Camilla smiling with William ❤️," another wrote, while a third agreed, "What a great son you’ve raised!"

It comes after Charles and Camilla paid poignant tributes to their dads, in honor of Father's Day yesterday. 

A photograph of Charles as a young boy, smiling alongside his "papa" Prince Philip. was posted on the social media platform, as well as snaps of Duchess Camilla with her father Bruce and the Prince of Wales with his two sons, William and Harry.

Giving a nod to those who were without their father on Sunday, a caption beside the lovely pictures said, "To all Papas everywhere, and to those who may be missing their Dads today, we are thinking of you and wishing you a special #FathersDay." 

Prince Philip passed away in April of 2021 and would have celebrated his 100th birthday earlier this month. 

The nostalgic image of the Duke of Edinburgh with his first son left Charles and Camilla's followers feeling emotional. 

"Beautiful photos. Prince Philip with Prince Charles is very touching. So sad when your dad is no longer here," one commented. 

"Such a beautiful post! So much memories of Prince Philip which Prince Charles will forever treasure in his heart 💙," another kind Instagram user wrote.
