Royal biographer Omid Scobie has promised his second book about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will offer 'deep access' into the couple's story.

Royal expert Omid Scobie has announced that he is writing his second book about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, much to the excitement of the A-list couple's devout fanbase.

The Harper's Bazaar editor will release the follow-up to his 2020 biography, Finding Freedom, at an unconfirmed date in 2023.

Its UK publisher HarperCollins has revealed that the sequel will 'have the world talking' with its 'unique insight, deep access, and exclusive revelations' into the 'next chapter' of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's journey. It remains a mystery how much involvement, if any, the ex-pat couple had in the untitled biography's development and content. The news comes shortly after it was revealed that the Queen may never see Prince Harry's memoir, which is due to hit shelves later this year.

Scobie took to Twitter on Sunday to share the update that he's 'working on a BRAND NEW BOOK!' with a short press release confirming that the biography's rights have been bought by Carrie Thornton, Editorial Director at HarperCollins' division, Dey Street.

His first book about the Sussexes, which was co-authored by Carolyn Durand, offered a favorable exploration of the Sussexes' relationship, married life, and withdrawal from the Royal Family. In November 2021, the Duchess confirmed that she gave permission to a senior aide to brief Scobie and Durand for the bestselling biography.

The news of Scobie's book will likely be welcomed by Harry and Meghan, whose private life has become even more prevalent in the tabloids over the past two weeks with the publication of Tom Bower's biography, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors. The controversial read, which hit shelves on July 21, featured a litany of salacious bombshells about the couple – including claims that Prince Charles was 'irritated by Meghan and that the Sussexes were angered that their requests to be more visible at the Queen's Platinum Jubilee were denied.
