Meghan's new eternity ring from Prince Harry includes the sweetest tribute to their new family

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, has attended just a smattering of royal engagements since welcoming her baby son Archie almost two months ago, given that she's still officially on maternity leave.

But her dedicated fans were quick to spot - on her first outing since her son's birth, at Trooping the Colour - that a new eternity ring had joined Meghan's engagement ring and wedding band.

It's been confirmed that the gorgeous new piece of bling was in fact a gift from Meghan's husband, Prince Harry.

And now, royal reporter Omid Scobie has confirmed that actually, the ring also includes a touching tribute to the family the royal couple are building.

Reportedly, the Duke of Sussex sought the help of renowned jewellery designer Lorraine Schwartz to help him create the ring in the weeks after their son's birth.

And it's said that Harry requested that the birthstones of all three of the Sussex family members be included on the underside of the ring - one for him, one for Meghan, and one for baby Archie. How sweet!

A source said, "Meghan was touched. A lot of thought went into it."

The ring includes a green emerald for Archie, who was born on 6th May, a green peridot stone for Meghan, whose birthday is in August, and a blue sapphire for Prince Harry, who was born in September.

Omid also claims that it was actually Prince Harry who took it upon himself to redesign Meghan's engagement ring too - which fans noticed had changed during one of the Duchess's recent outings.

The Duke reportedly employed the services of Lorraine to move the diamonds from the sleek gold band, to a glittering, diamond-encrusted band, that Meghan was seen with at Trooping the Colour.

Duchess Meghan is currently spending most of her time at home with baby Archie, but she did make a special re-appearance back in to public life over the weekend, as she joined Harry for a baseball game, held in support of the Invictus Games Foundation.

It's thought that Meghan won't return to her royal duties full-time until the Autumn.
