The first official look at Lilibet Diana has sent the Internet into a frenzy, as royal fans scramble to find images of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as children for those all-important comparison purposes. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex released the debut photo of their second child yesterday, in celebration of the adorable tot's first birthday on June 4. 

The A-list couple hosted “a casual, intimate backyard picnic at Frogmore Cottage” to mark the special occasion on Saturday, two days after their highly-anticipated arrival in the UK for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. 

The outdoorsy event, which was attended by family and friends, has given royal fans the first pictures of Lilibet Diana - and sparked some enthusiastic chatter online about her resemblance to Meghan and Harry as kids. 

A photo of the Duke of Sussex as a toddler in the 1980s has drawn particular interest, thanks to its undeniable likeness to the couple's first daughter. 

An unearthed photo of Meghan Markle as a baby has also been making the rounds, prompting many royal fans to highlight the similarities in her features to the couple's son, Archie. 

The photo of Lilibet was taken by the couple's close friend, Misan Harriman, who was invited to the exclusive Windsor do with his wife, Camilla, and two younger daughters. The Nigerian-born British photographer also shared a few other snaps from the birthday party on his Twitter, including one showing Meghan Markle's surprisingly casual outfit and makeup-free face at the low-key event.
