While most of us adored Kate and Prince William's flirty banter during the couple's tour of Scotland, some of us couldn't help but notice the trendy-yet-sensible white sneakers Kate sported. The couple's vacation involved a lot of walking which, as we all know, doesn't work with heels. Instead, Kate chose chic Veja sneakers, which are also a favorite brand of her royal sister-in-law. The Duchess of Sussex is known for her laid-back California look, exuding casual elegance every time she steps outside. Meghan Markle's hairstylist, George Northwood, has previously summed up his former client's image as "refined imperfection"—a description we'd have to agree with.
Her new sneakers show a move away from the Duchess's go-to brand Superga. Kate opted to pair her black blazer, striped sweater, and black trousers with a simple pair of white Veja sneakers.
The sneakers also follow her sustainable fashion practices as French-based brand Veja is known for being transparent with its production process. The brand uses sustainable materials including leather sourced from farms in Brazil and a tanning process that is free of hazardous chrome, heavy metals, and acids. Each sneaker is also topped off with a stitched "V" (the signature of the brand).
And it's not just Kate, Meghan, Reese and Katie. Emma Watson is also a fan, as are Emily Ratajkowski and Chloe Grace Moritz.
