Kate Middleton's chunky gold necklace was the center of attention during a recent royal engagement.

Prince William and Kate took over a huge radio show for a vital reason on World Mental Health Day as they promoted charities that work to provide support for those suffering from mental health issues.

While attending the event, Kate Middleton wore a perfect cream blazer from Zara - which is currently 50% off in the sale. The Princess also wore a stunning chunky gold necklace that added a fun twist to her sophisticated outfit.

The Princess chose to wear a necklace from Laura Lombardi, the chunky style shows a move away from her usual pricey diamonds, pearls, and occasional tiaras that the future Queen consort is often snapped in.

The necklace features a chunky chain and oversized heart pendant. The piece typically retails at $260, but there are other heart necklaces from the brand which are slightly cheaper but feature the same style as the Princess' jewelry look.

Designed by Brooklyn-based jewelry designer Laura Lombardi, this 'Luisa' necklace is made from14kt gold-plated brass with a chunky heart-shaped pendant.

The Princess' chunky gold necklace is just one of the many fantastic pieces of inexpensive jewelry that Catherine has been snapped in recently. Last week, Kate Middleton paired affordable Missoma earrings with the dreamiest silk pussy-bow blouse as the royal attended a royal engagement in Northern Ireland.

Similarly, the Princess has been snapped in some other less expensive high street brands. In early October, Kate Middleton beamed in a sunshine yellow Karen Millen dress during a solo outing to a maternity ward in Surrey.

These stunning looks show that you don't need to splash a lot of cash in order to emulate the Princess' looks. If you are after a signature piece that replicates the Princess of Wales' style, there are many options - both expensive and inexpensive - as the Princess has an eclectic style and isn't afraid to take risks with her wardrobe.
