Kate Middleton shared the hilarious reactions of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis to old photos of their parents during a recent public engagement, much to the delight of royal fans.

Kate Middleton proved she doesn't take aging too seriously during a recent public engagement, telling well-wishers that she and Prince William "always laugh" at their children's blunt reactions to old photos of the royal couple.

The Princess of Wales shared the sweet family anecdote in Anglesey last Tuesday, shortly after she and the prince arrived on the Welsh island for their first trip to the country with their new titles. Their reception got off to a warm start, with Kate and William being welcomed by a determined royal fan named Theo (who had reportedly waited four hours to present a posy of flowers to the future Queen).

A video of a conversation between the princess and a member of the Welsh public has since circulated on TikTok, showing the 41-year-old's reaction to spotting a very special sign. The royal fan was carrying a flag printed with one of Kate's engagement photos from 2010, in honor of her marriage to the prince.

"Oh my goodness, is that from our engagement?" Kate gasped, before admitting that she and William "always laugh" about how long they've been an item. "Although we've been married for 11 years, we've been together for double that, so it's extraordinary."

The princess then revealed that Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and four-year-old Prince Louis say, "Mummy, you look so young!" whenever they see their parents' engagement photos.

The iconic images, which were shot by Peruvian photographer Mario Testino in November 2010 at St. James's Palace, show a 29-year-old Kate Middleton linking arms with her then-finacé, Prince William. The bride-to-be is wearing a navy, silk wrap dress with long sleeves by Issa for the special occasion, while the groom looks equally dapper in a suit and tie.

The photos were released by Buckingham Palace in December 2010, four months before the couple tied the knot in an extravagant royal wedding at Westminster Abbey in April 2011.

Kate concluded the wholesome exchange with her Welsh fan by reminiscing on the couple's sentimental relationship with the UK nation. She famously lived in Anglesey with Prince William between 2011 and 2013, when the future King was stationed as a helicopter pilot with the Royal Air Force's Search and Rescue Force.

"It's nice coming back to Wales because it was where we lived before we had our family and everything," Kate said. "So, it's been a really special day."
