Kate Middleton has stunned fans in the best way possible as she stepped out in Scotland wearing a bold, monochromatic suit.

Prince William had a head start on the tour, as he had to carry out official duties as part of his role as Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. The Duchess of Cambridge then joined him a few days later for the remainder of the engagements.

To kickstart their joint appearances the couple visited the CEO of the charity Turning Point Scotland, where Kate sported a bold, monochromatic suit. The organization aims to support people with challenges such as homelessness, mental illnesses, and substance abuse.

While Kate Middleton's dresses have never ceased to impress us, this two-piece could give them a run for their money. The outfit featured a double-breasted blue blazer from Zara and a matching pleated skirt from clothing brand Hope—the latter of which is still available to shop.

The Duchess tied the look together with a pair of tan heels and a matching tan clutch. While we're obsessed with the overall look, the outfit also holds a special significance to both Kate and Prince William.

Tie together your royal-approved monochromatic look with this pretty pleated skirt, as seen on the Duchess of Cambridge during her 2021 tour of Scotland.

Not only is the color of her suit the same shade as the national flag of Scotland, but it's almost identical to an outfit Princess Diana wore back in 1992.

The Princess of Wales wore the very similar ensemble for a public appearance in Nottingham with her sister, Lady Sarah McCorquodale. The princess also showed off a monochromatic suit featuring a cobalt blue blazer and skirt—but where Kate chose tan heels, Diana kept the look completely monochromatic with a matching blue pair.

During the tour Kate and Prince William are also preparing to revisit St. Andrew's University—the place where they first met and fell in love. Ahead of the trip, a spokesperson for Kensington Palace shared what the couple is most looking forward to during their nostalgic visit.

"Both [Prince William] and The Duchess are very much looking forward to spending time in Scotland, hearing from a wide range of people on the issues they care about, and celebrating individuals who have gone above and beyond to support their communities over the past year," a statement reads.

The couple will be there until Thursday, where they will reminisce about their university days as well as "meet with current students, and hear how they have coped and supported each other during a difficult year."
