Here's why we probably won't see a photo of Princess Beatrice's baby Sienna any time soon

Keen to see a photo of Princess Beatrice's baby girl, Sienna, after her name was confirmed yesterday? A royal expert has revealed why we'll probably be waiting a while.

Having confirmed the birth of their little girl last month, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo told the world her name, with a special statement shared on the official royal social media accounts.

The lovely announcement revealed the tiny royal tot's name and shared that she has met with her half brother, Christopher Wolf, who is Edoardo's five-year-old son from his relationship with his ex fiancee, Dara Huang.

, "👶 Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have named their daughter Sienna Elizabeth Mapelli Mozzi," the post read.

"👣 The couple have said, 'We are all doing well and Wolfie is the best big brother to Sienna.'"

However, the heartwarming news was not accompanied by a photo of Princess Beatrice's baby Sienna.

Instead, royal fans were shown a beautiful imprint of the Queen's 12th great-grandchild's feet, with her name handwritten in cursive lettering below.

Now, royal pro, Omid Scobie, has predicted why Beatrice and Edoardo made the decision to keep a photo of Sienna away from the public eye.

Writing on Twitter, Omid, who co-wrote Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's iconic biography, Finding Freedom, explained that Beatrice has always been keen to stay away from the royal spotlight.

"Totally respect Beatrice and Edoardo's decision not to share a baby portrait (and also not showing his son Wolfie). The couple always wanted a private life for their family," Omid penned.

He also highlighted that Sienna, who is 11th in the royal line of succession, is far from being in a position where she would take the throne.

While we often see snaps of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, who are the children of a future King and have a fairly high chance of taking the throne, there's not as much pressure for a photo of Princess Beatrice's baby to be shared with the public.

"Given that she's not a direct heir to the throne, there's no pressure for it to be any other way," Omid explained.

Despite this, Princess Beatrice's sister, Princess Eugenie, has been much more open when it comes to sharing photos of her baby son, August.

August Philip Hawke Brooksbank was born in February of 2021 and Eugenie began regularly sharing snaps of him online shortly after his birth.

Royal fans have been treated to plenty of August pictures since he arrived, with Eugenie proudly showing off her little boy, who is 13th in line to the throne, to her 1.5 million followers.

Princess Beatrice even keeps herself away from Instagram all together.

While she does have a Twitter account to share small updates with fans, she isn't the owner of an Instagram account, so could be naturally less inclined than her sister to share visual insights into her life.
