Duchess of York lets slip very exciting detail about Princess Beatrice's wedding
The Princess is due to wed next year...
The Duchess of York has let slip a very big detail about Princess Beatrice’ upcoming wedding.
- The royal was attending the Luminous Gala when she let slip where her daughter will be getting married.
- There were rumours that the royal nuptials would take place in Italy, but turns out it’s not the case.
- This follows royal news that Princess Beatrice announced her engagement to Edoardo Mapelli Mazzi.
Fergie attended the British Film Institute Luminous Gala, where she revealed where her daughter’s wedding will take place.
There were rumours that her eldest daughter was planning to say ‘I do’ in Italy, where her fiancé is originally from.
However, Fergie squashed those rumours and revealed that the wedding will indeed take place in the UK.
Speaking to Press Association, she said, “It can only be Britain and anyway don’t believe what you read.”
The exact location is yet to be confirmed but Westminter Abbey is currently a favourite among bookies – the same location where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge married in 2011, and the Queen married Prince Philip in 1947.

Speaking of how she feels about having her daughter get married, Fergie gushed about her sons-in-law saying, “Beautiful boys, Jack and Edo, aren’t they fantastic? Edo I have known all my life and Alby is my godson, his brother.”
The Duchess also opened up about the emotion she felt as a mum when Princess Eugenie walked down the aisle.
She said, "For mums out there, oh my gosh, you know what, I never understood what it is to have tears of joy because I've looked at mothers at weddings and I'm going, 'Oh yeah, yeah, yeah it's good news.' No, no, you really feel it because they're your babies."
Princess Beatrice’s engagement was announced by Buckingham Palace in a statement that read, ‘The Duke and Duchess of York are delighted to announce the engagement of Princess Beatrice to Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
‘Her Royal Highness and Mr Mapelli Mozzi became engaged in Italy earlier this month. The wedding will take place in 2020. This photograph was taken by Princess Eugenie in Italy.
‘Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi said; “We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement. We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can’t wait to be married.”’
