Eagle-eyed royal fans spot this meaningful detail of Beatrice's Royal Ascot outfit
Princess Beatrice looked radiant in a Zimmermann floral dress for Royal Ascot, but it's her clutch bag that has fans talking
Princess Beatrice looked stunning in a floral Zimmerman ensemble for day one of Royal Ascot, but it was an unusual accessory that got fans talking.
- Princess Beatrice attended Royal Ascot this week alongside her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, and other members of the Royal Family.
- On day one of the annual racing event, Beatrice wore a summery Zimmermann dress with a striking floral print, accessorized with a mammogram clutch, with fans noticing something unusual about the initials.
- In other royal news, Camilla Parker Bowles wears 'beautifully elegant' white dress for Royal Ascot - showing us how to stay stylish in a heatwave.
Royal Ascot 2022 is well underway and there's one topic that has everybody talking - the Royal Family's outfits. While Camilla Parker Bowles showed us how to stay stylish during a heatwave, Princess Beatrice's Zimmermann ensemble is a lesson in wearing florals well.
Princess Beatrice's summery dress certainly made a statement on the day, but as pictures have emerged of the Princess enjoying a day at the races, eagle-eyed royal fans have spotted something unusual about her choice of accessory. Her mammogram clutch bag - a nod to two handbag trends of 2022 - shows the initials 'B.Y.' Some Twitter users have speculated that this must have been done before her marriage to Edoardo, as her initials would now be 'B.M.'
"From Ascot Day 1 & Princess Beatrice Misela confirmed that this is their bag. As it is monogrammed with her maiden name, we are going to assume it is a previous collection," wrote one twitter user.

But another Twitter user disagreed, commenting, "She’s still HRH Princess Beatrice of York, Mrs Mapelli Mozzi so her royal title takes precedence which MIGHT mean the bag is from a current collection."
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo married during a private ceremony in Windsor on July 17, 2020, and from that date, her official name is Princess Beatrice, Mrs Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
It's clear that Beatrice and Eduardo are fast becoming a contender for most popular royal couple, with fans commenting on how well suited they are.

"Just a lovely couple! Always love the touch of his tie matching her primary color," wrote one fan on Twitter.
While another said, "Such a lovely couple. Edo is so respectful to Prince William when he greets him at public events. Seems like a really classy guy and a wonderful husband to Bea. A great addition to the Royal Family."
A third wrote, "He is really growing on me."
The couple are likely to attend the racing event all week - and we can't wait to see what outfits are in store.
