Duchess Camilla's 'risqué' humor discussed by close friend in new documentary celebrating her 75th year
Duchess Camilla's 'risqué' humor is one of her stand out traits, says her close friend, as she pays tribute to the royal's cheeky wit
Duchess Camilla's 'risqué' humor is one of the most notable things about her, says her close friend, as she discusses those close to the knuckle jokes in an upcoming documentary, celebrating the future Queen Consort's 75th birthday.
- Duchess Camilla's wicked sense of humor is celebrated by her close friend, the Queen's first cousin once removed, Sarah Troughton.
- Sarah discusses the real Duchess Camilla, during a documentary celebrating her 75th birthday.
- In other royal news, Duchess Camilla’s ‘jarring’ decision to wear Princess Diana’s jewelry to important occasion honoring Prince Charles.
It's becoming increasingly clear that Duchess Camilla's already proved she's going to be a very different Queen to Queen Elizabeth - save for a wicked sense of humor, which is a trait the royals share in abundance.
ITV News reports that Sarah Troughton - whose maternal grandfather was a brother of Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother - describes her close friend the Duchess', 'wicked sense of humor.' The royal is, according to Sarah, not afraid of dabbling in 'very risqué' jokes.
Throughout the years, the Duchess of Cornwall has faced a lot of backlash in the public forum. Despite this, she's become increasingly popular with the general public. This is on top of positive reports of family relations, including Princess Anne and Duchess Camilla's new relationship, which is as though they're 'old friends.'
"I think there has been a wind of change in the Duchess' popularity," claims Sarah. "But I think it's because she has been entirely natural, entirely straight with everybody, looks you straight in the eye, does her royal duties with real panache and style and the public are very happy to meet her."
The documentary comes as Duchess Camilla was captured by ‘brilliant’ Kate Middleton in a stunning photo for her new job, guest-editing Country Life's 125th-anniversary issue. Better still, the future Queen Consort's image will feature on its cover in celebration of her 75th birthday.
Although she may be confident in many realms, the photoshoot with her step-daughter-in-law showed Duchess Camilla's 'inhibitions' and 'mixed feelings,' according to a body language expert.

Another reason for this may be the location of the shoot, her private home in Wiltshire. Duchess Camilla's Wiltshire estate was recently wrapped up in some awkward neighbor drama, that's sure to have made things a little tense.
The documentary, Camilla’s Country Life, will air on Wednesday, July 13 at 9pm GMT on ITV and the ITV Hub for viewers in the UK.
