Sustainability and gardening are something the Duchess shares a love for along with her husband, Prince Charles.
Charles has been running Home Farm from his 900-acre Gloucestershire retreat, Highgrove Gardens, since 1985, and the pair open their private residence for part of the year, welcoming almost 40,000 visitors annually to view the gardens, which include a cottage garden, sundial garden, wildflower meadow, and even a carpet garden.
Marking a notable change in public perception, people online have rushed to praise Duchess Camilla on her milestone birthday – and celebrated her many years weathering public scrutiny and criticism.
Leaving a comment under the Royal Family’s birthday post on Instagram, one social media user wrote, “Enjoy! You’ve kept your dignity through all the ups and downs… you deserve to be happy. Enjoy your day.”
Other comments include praising the more intimate nature of the photo, writing, “I love that she chose to be portrayed at her private home.”
Another added, “Lovely photo, you can feel her warmth.”
While many added their own praise, including “Warmth, love and kindness just radiates from her lovely face”, the peaches themselves threatened to upstage her.
One fan humorously wrote, “Big shout out to the peaches!”
