Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, just recycled a stylish seven-year-old outfit for a chilly trip to Ascot
The royal has just returned from a four-day tour of the Middle East with Prince Charles
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, was no doubt trying to acclimatise to the UK weather again following a four-day royal tour to Jordan and Egypt.
- The duchess wrapped up warm for her day at the races, recycling a £220 fur-trimmed hat by Lock & Co, suede boots, and an autumnal brown coat.
- Like the Duchess of Cambridge, the royal is fond of re-wearing her favorite looks, and was first photographed sporting the ensemble in 2014.
- In other royal news, The Queen's grandson-in-law Mike Tindall has candidly opened up about marriage's more challenging side.
She may be fresh from a four-day whistle-stop tour of Jordan and Egypt, but the Duchess of Cornwall showed no sign of fatigue as she arrived today at November Ascot.
Sporting a cosy look she's been spotted wearing on a number of occasions. Namely at the Cheltenham races in 2014, and again at the Cheltenham Festival in 2018. The Duchess was swaddled against the November chill as she stepped out of her car upon arrival.
Her coat, by royal dressmaker du jour Roy Allen, is something of a mainstay in the duchess' wardrobe, proving that even the royals have old-favorite fashion staples they return to time and time again.
It was Camilla's cozy £220 hat that really stole the show, though, as she set it against minimal jewelry, simple brown suede boots, and her signature white-blonde blow-dry to ensure it stood out.
So polished did she look that it's hard to believe that the royal had stepped off a plane traveling halfway across the globe just a few hours earlier.
Having spent four days carrying out royal duties in Jordan and Egypt with husband Prince Charles earlier this week, Camilla attended the jumps racing event solo this afternoon.

During their excursion, the duke and duchess celebrated the culture, heritage, and achievements of the two Middle Eastern countries, though they were quick to stress that the tour was purely for business, rather than pleasure.
Describing their trip as 'quite tough', the duchess told reporters yesterday from the ministerial jet, per The Daily Mail, "It was quite tough. We were driving a lot and it was pretty bumpy."
This week's trip wasn't the duchess' first visit to Egypt with her husband of 16-years, though. Commenting on their last adventure, Camilla added, "But afterwards I think, OK, 16 years ago, I'm a lot older now – well into my 70s – but to quote Richard Ingam, 'We've still got a snap in our celery'."
Prince Charles' absence at today's racing event may be down to the 'joint christening' that's reportedly taking place at the Royal Lodge in Windsor this afternoon. In what is reported to be a royal first, it's thought that second cousins Lucas Philip Tindall, the 8-month-old son of Mike and Zara Tindall, and August Brooksbank, the firstborn son of Princess Eugenie and husband Jack, will be christened in a double ceremony.
Her Majesty the Queen is reported to be attending the historic event, health permitting.
