Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall announces Instagram break for a very important reason
She promised to return and never leave Reading Room fans with a ‘blank page’
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall has announced she’s taking a "bit of a break" from her Reading Room online book club Instagram page but promises to return as she thanks followers for their support.
- Season One of Duchess Camilla’s Reading Room has now ended and she has given thanks to all the authors who made it possible, as well as her book-loving followers.
- The Duchess of Cornwall announced that they were going to have a "bit of a break now" to "catch up" on more reading, but tells followers they won’t be left with a "blank page".

Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall announced her highly-anticipated online book club, The Reading Room on December 31 last year. She later launched the Reading Room’s Season One book choices in January, exciting royal fans and bookworms alike. After all, whether you prefer physical copies or settling down with your best eReader, escaping into the worlds of our favorite books is a real joy.
Since launching the Season One books, it’s been a busy few months for the Reading Room. The official Reading Room Instagram account featured each of the four books for a fortnight. Fans heard from the authors themselves and were given points of discussion via insightful Book Club Kit posts.
Now Season One of the Reading Room has drawn to a close and Duchess Camilla has posted a special video message on the Instagram page revealing they’re taking a “bit of a break”.

In it, she said: "I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the authors who have made my Reading Room possible, and also to all you followers.
"We're going to have a bit of a break now to catch up with a bit more reading,” the Duchess of Cornwall then revealed, before continuing, “We haven't gone completely. There are going to be lots of small, exciting things coming up on the Reading Room, so please don't desert us because I promise you, we won't leave you with a blank page.”
Duchess Camilla also thanked everyone for joining her for the Reading Room’s Season One and even spoke of her delight at reading comments from fellow book enthusiasts.
