Wordle 527 has confused a number of players with an uncommon word, but what is the meaning and definition of today's tricky challenge?
A certain word has infuriated a number of Wordle players who struggled to solve a particularly uncommon five-letter word on Monday, November 28, 2022.
Wordle players have been totally stumped by yet another tricky five-letter word as the game makers at the New York Times challenged players to solve an unfamiliar word.
This isn't the first time players have been thrown a curveball - as words such as; leery, coyly, quart, and agape have caused a lot of frustration for fans in the past. However, this challenge on November 28, posed a particularly hard challenge for fans and many complained that they were not even confident that it was a real word!

The answer for the Wordle challenge on November 28 was 'tepid'. Players who struggled to solve this challenge took to social media to complain about the difficulty of this game.
"Wordle 527 X 6/6 I was stuck after three, so started trying all combinations but it was lengthy so I tried to find all letters. Got the word eventually but it's a new word for me. #Wordle527," said one player who solved the challenge by the skin of their teeth.
"Wordle 527 X/6 oh dear," said another. "Wordle 527 X/6 I was not gonna guess that," added yet another.
One player claimed that they completely gave up on the game. "#Wordle 527 X/6 Gave up / wouldn’t have got it," said the player.

Although this word did stump some players, others were delighted when they were faced with this challenge and solved it with ease. "YES I am so proud of this Wordle 527 3/6," said one player.
"I AM A GENIUS!!!!!!!! Wordle 527 2/6," said one player who solved the challenge within two guesses.
"Wordle 527 2/6 Been a while since I've absolutely smashed Wordle like this, so yes I'm bragging about it. #Wordle527," said another.
Tepid Meaning
Many players struggled with this challenge because they were simply unfamiliar with this term. The word is not particularly common in everyday life, so what does the word tepid mean?
The word tepid means lacking in warmth or enthusiasm. For example, if you drank tepid water, it would be neither warm nor cold. A synonym for this word could be 'lukewarm' or 'warmish'.
