Why is Holly Willoughby not on Dancing on Ice tonight?
Fans are wondering why Holly Willoughby is not on Dancing on Ice this evening for the semi-final as Philip hosts the show solo
Fans are wondering why is Holly Willoughby not on Dancing on Ice? As the show continues with Philip Schofield hosting on his own.
The semi-final of Dancing on Ice is taking place without co-host Holly Willoughby this evening as it was announced earlier on Sunday, March 13, that the star had tested positive for Covid-19.
It was announced on social media by the ITV show, "Unfortunately, Holly Willoughby is unable to host tonight's show after testing positive for Covid-19. Tonight's #DancingOnIce Semi-Final will be hosted by Phillip Schofield and we look forward to Holly returning for our Live Final ❤️."

This shocked fans who were excited to see the dynamic duo return to their screens this weekend. This is not the first time that Covid-19 has interrupted the pair's hosting duties as Philip had to duck out of hosting earlier in the series when he tested positive for coronavirus.
In order to continue the show, ITV hired Stephen Mulhern to co-host with Holly and the show continued as normal. Fans are now questioning whether Stephen could once again step into his backup hosting role.
"Is it too late for Stephen to step in?" asked one fan on social media.
"Why is it that when Schofe is sick, there’s a stand-in, but when Holly is ill, it’s fine for him to present in his own? 🤔" asked another.

"So how come Holly wasn’t allowed to host alone when Philip was not able to host a few weeks back but Phil can do it alone?!?" asked yet another fan.

Stephen Mulhern is currently recovering from an unnamed illness and it has been reported by sources that he is resting up after a hospital procedure. A source told The Sun, "Stephen went to hospital for a medical procedure, but has been discharged now and is focusing all his energy on his recovery."
The presenter also took to Twitter to explain his absence from Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and explained, "Hello all, Sorry I’ve been quiet on here recently and thank you for all your lovely messages. I’ve had some time off and been resting up on doctors' orders. I’m on the mend, I’m happy to say, and looking forward to getting back to work soon."
Although it has still not been confirmed why the presenter needs some rest, it is clear that like Holly, Stephen will not be able to present Dancing on Ice. It remains to be seen whether Holly will be well enough for the Live Final on Sunday, March 20, 2022.
