Manifest ending explained, what happened in the final episode of season 4 part 1?
The final episode of Manifest Season 4 Part 1 left viewers of the NBC show on a steep cliffhanger
If you haven't seen the last episode of Manifest season 4, here's everything you need to know.
Ever since the American supernatural drama released Part 1 of its fourth series on November 4, serious anticipation over what's to come in Part 2 has been heating up. The buzz around who killed Grace Stone in Manifest Season 3 has only added to this excitement, as fans rave about all the details of the NBC show. (For those of you completely unfamiliar, the sci-fi series follows the stories of the passengers of a plane that disappeared in 2013, only to mysteriously re-emerge five years later).
The final episode of Manifest Season 4, Inversion Illusion, is packed with wild twists, including a surprise death and the sudden rise of Angelina and Cal to power. If there was any reason to think that Manifest will be made into a movie in the future, it's this. Spoilers at the ready, let's discuss.
Perhaps the most shocking moment in the final episode of Manifest season 4, part 1, is the tragic death of Zeke Landon. After learning that Cal is the only person who can save the whole world, he's faced with a troubling predicament. Cal's leukemia has returned, giving him just days to live. Taking one for the team, Zeke absorbs Cal's cancer and ends up dying in Michaela's arms. Fans of the fictional character shouldn't despair too much, however, as it appears the door for Zeke's return remains open.
"Hopefully, divine consciousness will help [Michaela and Zeke] have an opportunity to communicate with each other," Manifest creator Jeff Rake told The Wrap.
Angelina also becomes the owner of the Omega Sapphire, giving her extreme destructive power over the universe. As the episode concludes, the archangel is shown holding the mystical object in her hand amid a city covered with fissures of lava. By the looks of it, part 2 of season 4 will be a battle between good and evil, with Cal fighting for virtue and Angelina fighting for vengeance.
For the remaining passengers of the plane, things have only gotten worse. At the end of the episode, they are shown being mentally tortured by the screams of Angelina. If that wasn't bad enough, they're also being detained by the US government as punishment for Angelina's misuse of the Omega Sapphire. Meanwhile, Saanvi and Vance are arrested at the end of the season, if that wasn't enough drama for one season.
