The sweet meaning behind Julia Roberts' coded dress at London movie premiere revealed
Julia Roberts attended the premiere of her new movie, Ticket to Paradise, in a black, lace dress glittering with sweet messages
Julia Roberts paid tribute to her beloved husband and children at the premiere of her new movie, Ticket to Paradise, in London last night.
The Oscar-winning actor made a touching nod to her family on Wednesday as she celebrated the release of her new film, Ticket to Paradise.
The highly-anticipated comedy marks the end of Julia Roberts' romcom break, with the 54-year-old starring alongside George Clooney to play a divorced couple on an overseas mission to stop their daughter from getting married.
The Pretty Woman star attended the 2022 movie's glitzy premiere at Leicester Square in London solo, but was sure to keep her loved ones close to her in a special way.
Julia wore a custom Alexander McQueen black lace dress sparkling with crystallised names and numbers, that, at first glance, looks a little bit like a sparkling graffiti wall. It has since been revealed, however, that each digit and figure hold a very significant meaning for the mom-of-three.
The Chantilly gown included the initials and birthdays of her 17-year-old twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, as well as those of her third child, 15-year-old Henry.
Julia shares her three kids with her husband, Danny Moder, to whom she has been married for nearly 20 years. She also paid tribute to the US cinematographer by having their initials, "JR + DM", and the year of their wedding, "2002", embroidered into the stunning gown.

The sentimental messages were accompanied by heartfelt words like "Hope," "Darling" and "Love", as well as a few unsymmetrical hearts. From a distance, the dress resembled that of a scribbled chalkboard, adding a sweet childlike vibe to the final look.
Julia completed the bespoke gown with a cropped, wool blazer, which was reportedly chosen by her trusty stylist, Elizabeth Stewart. Her shoes were concealed by the outfit's floor-sweeping hemline and her jewelry was kept minimal with just one diamond ring, ensuring all the focus went to the dress's incredible detail.
Who is Julia Roberts' husband?
Julia Roberts married Daniel Moder in 2002, two years after meeting him on the set of The Mexican. The couple wed in a private ceremony at the Notting Hill star's ranch in Taos, New Mexico, on July 4, and welcomed their first children, twins Phinnaeus and Hazel, in 2004. They had their third child, Henry, in 2007.
