The important reason Adele might miss Rich Paul’s birthday plans this year
Adele's boyfriend, Rich Paul, may have to arrange a new date to celebrate his 41st birthday if he wants the English superstar to attend
Adele may miss Rich Paul's birthday celebrations this year, but it looks like she's got a very good excuse for her absence.
The English superstar is unlikely to make her beloved partner's expected birthday bash in December, having already committed to an important engagement that falls on the same date.
Adele's boyfriend, Rich Paul, celebrated his 40th last year by attending an NBA game with the Easy on Me singer, marking one of the couple's first public appearances since revealing their romance to the press. News of the 34-year-old's relationship with the US sports agent came shortly after her divorce from ex-husband, Simon Konecki, was confirmed.
At the time, Adele was working hard to promote her fourth studio album, 30, after taking a six-year-long hiatus from the spotlight. However, having yet to return to live performances, her evenings appeared relatively free and she was photographed out with Rich Paul on numerous occasions.
Unfortunately, it looks like this year, Adele won't be able to enjoy a relaxed celebration with her boyfriend on his actual birthday - and it's all because of business.
Not only will the Tottenham native be busy on the evening of Rich Paul's 41st, she probably won't even be in the same state as him. The sports mogul's special day falls on December 16, which just so happens to be one of the rescheduled dates of Adele's Vegas residency.
The new shows were announced in July, seven months after the musician tearfully canceled the glitzy concert series at the last minute because of COVID-19-related delays.

The Someone Like You singer will finally take to the Colosseum's iconic stage at Caesars Palace Hotel this winter, with the first show scheduled to kick off on Friday, 18 November 2022.
The highly-anticipated residency, entitled 'Weekends with Adele', will run until March 25, 2023, and will also feature 8 new shows in addition to the rescheduled dates.
The Grammy-winner delivered the exciting news to fans on Twitter on July 25, adding that she'll "always be sorry" for the "horrible decision" that left countless ticketholders out of the loop and out of pocket.
"To be with you in such an intimate space every week has been what I’ve most been looking forward to," she added, before promising to "give you the absolute best of me."
