The bubble ponytail is taking over social media, and you need to give it a whirl
* Grabs brush *
The bubble ponytail has been having a moment of late. First the playful updo garnered attention among #hairtok and #hairinstagram followers. Then the ever chic Priyanka Chopra gave it the red carpet seal of approval by pairing her bubble ponytail with an equally elaborate fuchsia embroidered jacket for the BAFTAs 2021.
And that's before even mention the OG bubble pony worn famously by Princess Jasmine.
Better still, the style doesn't involve any lengthy prep work with the best hair dryer or best hair straighteners.

Master the bubble ponytail
Since a new season is approaching and we're dying to play around with our style, why not give in to the bubble ponytail's resurgence? There's no time like the present.
While the style looks intricate it is thankfully relatively easy to create. First secure your hair in a ponytail. Then place another elastic one or two inches down the length of your ponytail. Gently tug at the sides of this section to create a rounded, bubble-like shape. Continue this method down the rest of of your ponytail.
Or take a look below at Allure's 2014 video that shows you how to emulate the look.
Celebrity hairstyles
As of late, we've certainly been revelling in that big hair energy—ponytail or not. Celebs are constantly playing around with their styles, and it's giving us major inspiration. Recently, Chrissy Teigen underwent yet another transition to pretty-in-pink strands. It's like a glass of rosé come to life. (This is probably best for those who want to really make a bold statement.)

Meanwhile, Selma Hayek recently sported her natural curls for a heritage-empowered selfie. "My #hair channeling a Latina-Arab #farrahfawcett. Mi #cabello canalizando una latina-Arabe Farra. #latina #arab," she wrote on Instagram.

Then, there are other celebs who are head over heels for cool wigs. Take, for example, Kate Beckinsale and her new "blonde beach waves." (The tousled strands are a wig she's using for her role in the new movie, Guilty Party.)
